In September 2003, the 50+ centres across Berkshire, UK, were brought together in a partnership funded by the Berkshire Learning
and Skills Council and supported by the 6 Unitary Authorities in Berkshire.
The centres, many of which are UK online centres, cater for all kinds of community based learning and are at the forefront of Adult and Community Learning.
The aim of the partnership is to promote the centres and underpin the sustainability to ensure that each community of Berkshire has a viable and vibrant community centre that meets local needs.

We provide parents with an open forum website to exchange information, share experiences and broaden their knowledge and understanding of the internet. www.digitalparents.co.uk provides a unique resource centre to enable the delivery of parental training in the community backed up by more detailed workshops to help parents pro-actively support their children's use of the internet and ultimately keep them safe.

Longwood Towers IT Centre provides Information Commutation and Technology (ICT) training and electronic learning to the people of our community for free. We help the disadvantaged, disengaged and deprived groups of young, old and disabled people. We help them develop the necessary ICT skills (e-skills) to compete and progress in life and the job market.
